G.I. Enthusiast Collection

The Enthusiast Collection is an ongoing collection of special edition Harley-Davidson® motorcycles that are inspired by the community. Each year brings something new to the Enthusiast Collection, and for 2022, that is the G.I. Enthusiast Collection. This collection has been designed to celebrate Harley-Davidson® fans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and those that continue to serve. These limited-edition designs feature a Mineral Green Denim Deluxe aesthetic with exclusive graphics, and they can be found on the Pan America 1250 Special in addition to the Tri Glide® Ultra reviewed here.

Tri Glide® Ultra

While the Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra G.I. Enthusiast Collection features an exclusive design, it is otherwise the same as the standard Tri Glide® Ultra. The Tri Glide® Ultra is a touring trike that is loaded with all of the modern amenities and technologies that modern touring enthusiasts demand. This is notably different from the other core trike in the Harley-Davidson® lineup-the Freewheeler-which delivers a stripped-down experience. The Tri Glide® Ultra is built on the same touring chassis used throughout the Grand American Touring family and is perhaps most comparable to the Street Glide Special except that it has dual rear wheels, which entirely changes the dynamics of the ride.

Performance and Ride Characteristics

The Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra G.I. Enthusiast Collection is powered by the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. It puts the rider in an upright riding position. It has a passenger seat with a backrest and floorboards that extend far enough for both the rider and passenger. It has an integrated trunk opposed to saddlebags, and that trunk provides 4.4 cubic feet of storage space. It also features a Tour-Pak luggage carrier, and that provides 2.4 cubic feet of additional space. A fork-mounted fairing is a defining characteristic of the Tri Glide® Ultra. Other notable characteristics include a modern infotainment system and standard and optional rider safety enhancements.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra is first and foremost a vehicle for touring enthusiasts. The Tri Glide® Ultra is a blast to drive around town, but this is a trike set up to be rode long distances and for long periods at a time. The Tri Glide® Ultra distinguishes itself from other Harley-Davidson® tourers in that it has a third wheel, and that makes it even more comfortable and convenient. This version in particular is a great choice for the rider who wants bold unique style that won't be available a year from now.

Making It Yours

This special edition of the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra is a custom bagger direct from the factory and it sold exclusively in the G.I. Enthusiast design, but that does not mean that you can't customize it further. Our dealership provides you full access to the Harley-Davidson® catalogue. There are numerous personalization options available, including various handlebars, hand grips, mirrors, shifter pegs, windshields, light accessories, smartphone mounts and much more.
